The NIH Common Fund is pleased to announce the BD2K Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSS) and Big Data Workshop. The workshop will take place March 19-20, 2018 at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), Bethesda, MD. The workshop will offer a R and R Studio for Reproducible Scientific Analysis Hands-on Training, and a scientific workshop bringing together behavioral and social sciences researchers with computational big data and informatics researchers to encourage cross-disciplinary discussion and collaboration. Research presentations and panel discussions will include the topics of behavioral and social sciences insights, systems science and big data, and big data and vulnerable populations. There is no fee to attend the R and R Studio training or the scientific workshop, and both are open to NIH and other federal agency staff and contractors. Registration is required to attend this meeting. 

Who should attend?

This meeting is open to NIH and other federal agency staff and contractors. The R and R Studio training session will be tailored to NIH staff in the behavioral and social sciences research community interested in learning how to use big data.
