Biography:

Dr. Rebecca Black joined the Office of Strategic Coordination as a Health Science Policy Analyst in October 2022. She received her B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Johns Hopkins University in 2017 and her Ph.D. in Biological Engineering from MIT in 2022, where she used bioinformatics analyses to study corticosteroid effects on post-traumatic osteoarthritis and to identify potential disease biomarkers in human ex vivo models of early disease progression. At MIT, she served on the executive board of the MIT Science Policy Initiative, promoting the importance of scientific research and educating graduate researchers about the federal policy process.
