Generation and integration of new CNS neurons by in vivo directed conversion


This image shows human skin fibroblast cultures that have been converted to brain neurons using a 'cocktail' of neurogenic genes. The cells were then fixed and stained with antibodies for a general neuron marker (MAP2, in green) and an Alzheimer's disease associated protein, Amyloid Precursor Protein (in red).
