GTEx Project Community Meeting

The GTEx Community meeting is held annually and is open to the scientific community who are interested in learning more about the project and data, or who are already using the data in their research. This meeting will be held in Barcelona in April, following the completion of the main production phase of GTEx data.  It will aim to congregate a community of scientists from all over the world that are using, or that plan to benefit from using, the GTEx data. The Project Community Meeting on July 11th is open to the public so register here. The meeting will highlight current data sets and types available, various tools being developed for these data types, and results from applying them to the data. The relationship of the project to other NIH projects and data sets, such as ENCODE, GWAS and Cancer projects will be highlighted, and strong emphasis will be placed on showcasing a range of scientific presentations that use GTEx data.

GTEx Analysis Working Group Jamboree and Steering Committee Meeting

This was the first GTEx meeting since sequence data from roughly half of the donors was available for analysis and provided an excellent opportunity for GTEx investigators to discuss optimal methods for analyzing the enormous amount of GTEx data that will be available by the end of 2016 when all the sequence is anticipated to be completed.​
