Common Fund Administrative Supplements

The Common Fund participates in the general NIH program announcement for administrative supplements (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-12-100.html), and will support particularly meritorious supplements submitted to it by investigators of Common Fund grants if there are sufficient funds.   In addition, the Common Fund participates in administrative supplement program announcements that are specific to Common Fund programs. In either case, the applications must be within the scientific scope of the parent grant and should support the goals of the relevant Common Fund program. Because there may be institute-specific practices about supplementing particular grant mechanisms, applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the program and grants management officials that administer the parent grant (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/admin_supp/index.htm) to confirm eligibility.
