The Center for Cancer Research CCR is part of the National Cancer Institute NCI. Our mission is to inform and empower the entire cancer research community by making breakthrough discoveries in basic and clinical cancer research and by developing these discoveries into new therapeutic interventions for adults and children afflicted with cancer or infected with HIV.
The NCI Intramural Research Program IRP has established four Centers of Excellence that provide centralized resources and infrastructure aimed at accelerating the discovery, development, and delivery of interventions for preventing, diagnosing, and treating cancer and HIV/AIDS:

Genitourinary Malignancies
HIV/AIDS & Cancer Virology and Immunology
Integrative Cancer Biology and Genomics

Candidates should submit electronically a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and a 3-page statement of research interests and future plans, and arrange to have 3 letters of reference by December 14th to boersmab@mail.nih.gov

The NIH will notify ed candidates shortly after December 14th, and work with the candidates to submit an application to the NIH Common Fund program by January 30, 2013. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements of the Common Fund program, as described in http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-RM-12-018.html.
