Brief description of research areas being targeted by the Institution for the EIA initiative (with specific websites, if available):

We do work in health promotion/disease prevention, health program evaluation, and health systems strengthening work. We have a long-standing collaborative research program sponsored by NIMH in Zimbabwe, and we are especially well prepared to host an awardee interested in working in Zimbabwe (and with data from the Zimbabwe program) in the arena of HIV/AIDS risk reduction, with particular emphasis on adolescent adherence to anti-retroviral therapy, family and community-based intervention effectiveness, and psycho-behavioral dimensions of risk compensation and disinhibition.

Selection committee (comprised of three senior research scientists) will screen all applications, select qualified applicants for phone/Skype interview, narrow candidate pool to 2 finalists with whom additional phone/Skype interview will be conducted.
