Denali Boon, M.P.H.
Denali received her bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Vermont concentrating in molecular genetics, cancer, and infectious disease research. She received a master of public health degree from the Johns Hopkins University, focusing on infectious disease epidemiology and global health. Denali came to the NIH in 2006 as a microbiologist in the intramural research program of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, conducting studies to address the epidemiology, viral evolution, and pathogenesis of and host immune response to infectious diseases, including hepatitis viruses, noroviruses, and dengue viruses.
